She was born on January 14, 1926 in Peoria to Harry and Irene (Zerwekh) Bragg. She married Andrew J. Meyers on March 18, 1950 in Peoria and he preceded her in death on June 24, 2016.
She was also preceded in death by her brother Raymond Bragg and sister-in-law Lois Bragg.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Douglas (Joan) Meyers of Normal and Andrea (David) Van Kampen of Naperville, six grandchildren, Tanner (Alanna) Van Kampen of NJ, Stacy (Bruce) Haas of Normal, Trevor (Alisha) Van Kampen of North Aurora, Stephanie Meyers of Normal, Ryan (Laura) Meyers of Bloomington, and Jillian Van Kampen of CA, and 9 great-grandchildren.
Dorothy worked as a secretary for A. Lucas and Sons Steele and Associated Engineers. When her children were younger, she stayed home to raise them and was very involved in their school activities. She was also a member of Westminster Presbyterian where she enjoyed volunteering. She was a founding member of the Femmes Unir Women’s Club in Bartonville where she was a member for more than 55 years.
Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 AM on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. Dr. Dayle Savage will officiate. Entombment will take place at Swan Lake Memory Garden Mausoleum.
