

Edward E. Cool,81, of Bartonville, Illinois, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2013 at Unity Point Health-Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. He was born on July 8, 1932 in Kickapoo, Illinois, to Edward and Magdelina (Stoller) Cool. He married Evelyn Schick on November 8, 1952, at St. John Lutheran Church in Bartonville, Illinois. She survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Bruce(Linda) Cool of North Pekin, Illinois, Chris (Robin) Cool of East Peoria, Illinois, and Andy (Cheryl) Cool of Peoria, Illinois; 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Donna Chepan of East Peoria, Illinois and Joyce (Kenny) Dunn of Cordova, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Diana (Cool) Fuller.
Ed was a proud United States Marine Corps veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was employed by CILCO, working in the gas department for 30 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Bartonville, Marine Corps League, Korean War Veterans, VFW of Bartonville, and the Devil Dogs. He was also a past member of the Peoria Boat Club, Peoria Motorcycle Club, and the Tri-County Travelers Camping\Good Sam’s.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the St. John Lutheran Church in Bartonville, Illinois. The Rev. Michael Jones will officiate. A visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery with Military Honors. Funeral arrangements are by the Davison Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Memorials may be made to the St. John Lutheran Blacktop Fund.
