

Eleanor F. Ball, 94, of Bartonville, Illinois, died Saturday evening, October 29, 2011 at her residence. She was born on June 9, 1917 in Peoria County, Illinois, the daughter of Peter and Edith (Keil) Bunger. Eleanor married Byron Ball on December 26, 1935 in Glasford, Illinois, he preceded her in death on July 13, 1978 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by one Infant son, one daughter Bonnie Freitag, and one grandson Tim Freitag, one brother George Bunger and one sister Faye Taylor.
She is survived by two sons, Norman (Judith) Ball of Crystal Lake, Illinois and Roger(Carol) Ball of Milford, Illinois. She has also one son in law surviving, Carroll Freitag of Mapleton. She has four grandchildren surviving, Roger (Lisa) Ball Jr., Michelle(Tom) Fauls, Jennifer(Kirk) Schloskey and Todd(Carol) Freitag. There are also 7 great grandchildren. She has two brothers surviving, John (Carol) Bunger of Pekin and Clarence (Patsy) Bunger of Glasford, and one sister Irene Bitner of Glasford. The family is very appreciative for Lyn Stanley who has been her primary caregiver for the last four years.
Eleanor had previously worked at the Illinois Bell Telephone Company and the Bartonville Bank. She was a member of the River Cities Doll Club, Colonial Dames, Daughters of the Revolution, and the Daughters of the 1812 War. She was also a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church of Bartonville.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 10:30 AM at the Bethel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Dr. Philip Lund will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Wednesday evening at the Davison Fulton Bartonville Chapel and 30 minutes prior services at the church on Thursday. Burial will be in the Springdale Cemetery, Peoria.
