

She was born on April 8, 1915 in Beaumont, KY to Emmett and Myrtle (Shives) Bybee. She married Samuel Glenn Workman on August 11, 1932 in Onarga, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers, Roy, Ralph and Ed Bybee and two sisters, Mollie Smith and Edith Arends.
Surviving are her three children, Lloyd (Nancy) Workman of Arizona, Jerry Workman of Bartonville and Debra (Rick) Wolf of Bartonville, one sister, Edna Federmeyer of Wisconsin, three grandchildren, Tami (Mike) Fletcher of East Peoria, Ken (Rhonda) Workman of Groveland and Marcy (Brian) Rimmey of Morton, six great-grandchildren, Kristina (Mark) Masters of East Peoria, Jarred (Lauren) Workman of Colorado, Josh (Tiffany) Workman of Colorado, Brianna Workman of East Peoria and Allison and Jarrett Rimmey both Morton, and three great-great-grandchildren, Gracie Belle Luna of East Peoria, Isabelle Anne Workman of Colorado and Ashton Masters of East Peoria and her longtime care giver Penny Patterson.
Elsie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. She loved flowers, making quilts and spending time with her family especially all of her grandchildren. She is particularly proud of her grandsons, Mark Masters and Jarred Workman who are currently serving in the military in Afghanistan.
A funeral will be Monday, March 7, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
