Loving wife, sister and aunt

BARTONVILLE — Evelyn Frances Stables, 86, of Bartonville passed away at 1:43 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2013, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born Dec. 12, 1926, in Peoria to Charles and Elsie (Bolam) Schifgowich. She married Charles W. Stables on Oct. 11, 1947, in Peoria. He died March 18, 1994, in Peoria.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are her sisters, Dorothy Rohlfing of Bartonville and Marie (Jordan) Wieland of Peoria; nephew, Vince (Mickey) Wieland of Dunlap; great-nieces, Kayla (Mike) Schneider of Edwards, Tarah (Tom) Meister of London Mills and Erika Wieland of Dunlap; and one great-great-nephew, Heath Meister.

Evelyn retired as an auditor for Commercial National Bank after 40 years of service.

She was a member of St. Andrews Episcopal Church.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the chapel. Burial will be in St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery in Bartonville.
