Fred was born on September 3, 1942 in Chicago, IL to the late Fred and Agnes (Krogsted) Mayer. He later married Judi Johnson on August 4, 1973.
He was the owner and operator of Midwest Oil for 15 years.
His favorite thing to do was to drive his 1973 Corvette.
He served in the United States Army from 1964 to 1967 in Germany.
Fred is survived by his wife, Judi; his children, Michael Mayer and Janel (Mike) Davis; and his grandchildren, Ayla, Hadley, Coen, and Hudson.
He is preceded by his parents and his Aunt Jeanette.
A private burial will take place at Roberts Cemetery in Morton, IL.
