

Gary A. Fales, 79, of Bartonville, Illinois, passed away peacefully Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Heddington Oaks in West Peoria. He was born on June 5, 1937 in Peoria to Harold and Ethel (Stivers) Fales. He married Cherie Beddows on September 4, 1960 in Peoria, Illinois. She survives.
Also surviving are three children, Cheryl (Brian) Trotta of Lenexa, KS, Michael (Lisa) Fales of Algonquin, IL and Kellie Fales Bane of Bartonville, IL; three grandchildren, Garrett Fales, Sara Bane and Shannon Fales; and three step grandchildren, Nick (Adelle) Trotta, Abbey (Paul) Trotta and Elizabeth (Aaron) Mulroy. He is also survived by one brother, Norman (Diane) Fales of Bartonville, IL. He was preceded in death by one sister-in-law, Dawn Pitzer.
Gary was a Korean Conflict Veteran of the United States Air Force. He was the proud owner of Fales Hearing Aid Service for 25 years. He retired from the United States Postal Service, where he was an electrical maintenance technician. He was a member of Peoria Jaycees and served on the Monroe School Board. Gary was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time gardening, working on his home and attending his grandchildren’s school events. He had a love for meeting new people, as he did not know a stranger. He will be greatly missed.
A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the Davison Fulton Bartonville Chapel. The Rev. Jim Reynolds will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Saturday. Cremation rites have been accorded. Inurnment will be in the Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
