Genevieve Ruth Manning

Bartonville, IL– Genevieve Ruth Manning, 92, of Farmington, formerly of Bartonville, passed away Thursday, May 2nd, 2013, at 3:55 a.m. at Farmington Country Manor in Farmington, IL, with Bonnie, Suzie, and Clarice at her side.

She was born on May 19th, 1920, in Canton, IL, the daughter of Ray H. and Ora M. (Nall) Cook. She married George R. Manning on October 20, 1939, in Kahoka, MO. He preceded her in death January 4th, 1990, in Peoria, IL. Also preceding her in death were 1 son, Larry Lee; 1 grandson, David Lee; and 6 brothers and 3 sisters.

Surviving her are 2 daughters, Bonita Lynn (Chris) Lauterbach of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Suzan Elaine (Donald) Lancaster of Heyworth, IL; 1 brother, Paul N. Cook of Bartonville; 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Genevieve was a member of Memorial Christian Church in Peoria.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel in Bartonville. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Chapel with Rev. Arvil Bass officiating. Burial will be at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
