He was born Nov. 3, 1943 in Peoria to John and Etta (Ulrichs) Hidden. He married Marlene Schlueter on March 23, 1963 in Peoria. She passed away January 12, 2017 in Peoria. He is also preceded in death by his parents, four brothers: Robert Hidden, John Hidden, Donald Hidden, William Hidden, and one sister, Dolores Stevenson.
Survivors include three children: Lisa Rettig of Peoria, Karen Hidden of Pekin, Gerald S. Hidden of Peoria, two granddaughters: Toni Hartman of Peoria, Brandi (Tim) Powell of Bloomington, and three great-grandchildren: Jaykob, Jack, and Marlena.
Jerry worked at Caterpillar, Inc. then was a Dump Truck operator for several years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren, and working in his yard.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 21, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. David Williams will officiate the services. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
