Gerald Lee Riedlinger

He was born at home in Bartonville to Arthur and Kathryn (White) Riedlinger on April 24, 1931. Gerald married Jean Ewers on September 22, 1950 and were married 73 years until her passing on September 17, 2023.

Surviving are five children, Gerald (Marlene) Riedlinger, Jr. of Bartonville, Ruth (Robert) Kester of Rock Island, Cathy Wilcoxson of Hanna City, Debra (Michael) Mullvain and Janet (Elliott "Scott") Gordon all

of Bartonville; 12 grandchildren, Erik (Jennifer) Phillips, Jennie (Nate) Waldo, Valerie (Tim) Bennett, Nick (Michelle) Kester, Scott Mullvain, Ben (Tiffany) Kester, Ellery (Christian) Merrick, Raven Farraher Gordon, Elliott (Eliza) Gordon, Eric (Teresa) Neal, Jason (Becky) Neal, John Phillips, 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Jean, siblings Vernon, Marilyn and Warren; son in-law Steve Wilcoxson and grandson, Brian Forbes.

Gerald worked at Keystone Steel and Wire for 32 years, Page/Laidlaw Bus Co as a special needs bus driver for 12 Years. His first job was peddling papers before school which he loved to talk about.

Graveside Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at the Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria followed by a meal and memorial at Rabers on Farmington Rd from 2:30 - 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Bartonville Fire Department.
