

She was born on December 27, 1949 to the late Lester and Esther Blondina (Nunn) Hastings in Scottsboro, AL. She married John Woods and they later divorced. She was with her life partner, Cannon Rainey, until his passing.
She worked at Ex-Pac as a Supervisor for years. She later worked for USPS as a Mail Sorter until retiring several years later.
Gladys was a member of the Town & Country Bowling Club back in the 70s and 80s and won several trophies with her bowling leagues. She also played pool with the same group of friends she bowled with. She always attended her class reunions and would keep up with her classmates. She enjoyed watching Disney movies with her grandchildren, scrapbooking and taking pictures of her family, gardening, and loved to listen to Elvis Presley. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.
Gladys is survived by her children, Travis Rainey, Tony (Jill) Woods, and Tina (Jarod) Woods-Miller; her grandchildren, Nicole (Jay) Miller, Jeremy Wilson, John (Rachel) Woods-Miller, David Miller, Holly (Shane) Miller, Paris Woods, Tagger (Zoe) Woods, Jazz Woods, Rio Woods, Peyton Davis, and Trendon Rainey; her great aunt, Lee Majors; her sister, Marie; her step sister, Brenda; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded by her parents; her life partner, Cannon Rainey; and her sisters, Susan West, Linda Lappin, and Shirley Derose.
