

He was born Feb. 11, 1933 in Peoria, IL. to Harry H. and Anna (Voss) Miller of Peoria. He married Mary Joan Nyberg of Peoria on September 28, 1958 in Pekin, IL. She survives along with five children: daughter, Glenna Gianakos of Marietta, GA; son, Grant Miller of Elko, NV; daughter, Julianna Miller Newman of New York, NY; daughter, Amy Bruce of Pleasant Plains, IL; and daughter, Jeanette Miller of Marietta, GA.; twelve grandchildren: Chandra Miller, Grant Miller, Jr., Amber Bruce, Cody Miller, Matthew Gianakos, Andrew Gianakos, Anna Bruce, Michelle Gianakos, Abby Bruce, Abraham Bruce, Aleksandar Mohoruk and Conrad Mohoruk; and one sister, Lois Miller of Springfield, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and one brother.
During the course of his life, Glenn was a farmer, employed by Keystone Steel & Wire Co., Caterpillar Tractor Co., auctioneer, realtor, owner of Miller Construction Company and worked hard his entire life. He also served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He enjoyed travelling throughout the world with his wife. His children and his grandchildren were his pride and joy.
Funeral services will be Saturday May 1, 2010 at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bartonville. Rev. Jay Johnson will officiate. Visitation will Friday April 30, 2010 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Additional visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church.
Burial will be in the St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery with military rites following the services.
