

She was born in Peoria, Il. on August 25, 1930 to Raymond and Daisy (Songer) Harper. Grace married Joseph Fleming on June 19, 1949 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on April 10,2017. She was also preceded in death by three sons. Brad Fleming, Brent Fleming and Brandon Fleming and one grandson Brent Fleming II. Also surviving is her brother Vern Harper and sister Linda (Paul) Lux and daughter-in-law Dori Fleming, sister-in-laws, brother-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Surviving is her daughter Cathy (Dennis) Yeske, grandchildren Brock (Kathy) Yeske, Dawn (Brandon) Cordts and Bradley Fleming. Great grandchildren, Austyn (Stefanie) Yeske, Brevyn (Helena) Yeske, Camdyn Yeske, Braeden (McKay) Cordts, Baylor Cordts, Brycen Cordts, Harper Fleming. Great, great grandchildren, Jax Yeske, Teagan Yeske and Blakely Cordts.
She worked at Hunter’s downtown Peoria with her mother-in-law for several years where we are sure her love for chili dogs began. She was a homemaker and also provided daycare for several children including grandsons who enjoyed her breakfasts and her goodbyes to all were always, “I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.”
Celebration of life will be held at the American Legion in Bartonville from 5-7 pm. September 26, 2025.
Memorials can be made in her honor to Grace Presbyterian Church Peoria, Yellow Bear Foundation, Grafelman Farms Rescue or TAPS No-kill Animal Shelter.
