Grace Annabelle Kurth-Maston

Grace was born on May 31, 1926 in Peoria, IL to Herman J. and Estellene (Crotts) Sathoff. She married Charles C. Kurth on December 21, 1945 and he preceded her in death in 1961. She later married Russell Maston on September 23, 2004 in East Peoria, IL.

Grace is survived by her husband, Russell; her children, Eric Kurth of Mapleton, IL, Wayne (Sharon) Kurth of Fairbury, IL, Mark (Diane) Kurth of Bartonville, IL, Jane (Rick) Wiessing of Thornton, CO, and Herman (Judy) Kurth of Dunlap, IL; her step-son, Mark (Patty) Maston of East Peoria, IL; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 17 Great-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; her brother, John (Roberta) Sathoff of Peoria, IL; her sister, Mary (Larry) Mullinax of Taylors, SC; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Charles; and one grandson, Danny.

Grace was a loving wife and mother. Over the years she worked as a Secretary for Underwood in Pennsylvania, Peoria Electric and Appliances, and Max’s Bargain Center. Grace was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school for the 3 year olds. She enjoyed sewing and embroidery and was a beautiful singer. She sang for the troops at various military camps and sang with the Stephen Foster Singers at Manuel.

Services will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2014 at 11am at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel with visitation held one hour prior to the service. Rev. Kerry Frantz will be officiating. Burial will be at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria. Memorials may be made to St. Jude, in memory of Grace’s grandson, Danny; the Grace Presbyterian 3 year old Sunday school; or the Heddington Oaks Alzheimer’s Wing.
