He was born on September 26, 1946, in Peoria, the son of Hinrich Sr. and Lela Luella Pinson Renken, he married Valorie Fletcher on May 1, 1971 in Bartonville. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Trevor (Katie) Renken of Farmington, Tim (Jennifer) Renken of Glasford; four grandchildren, Ashley, Olivia, Gage, and Alexis; one brother, Ronald (Jean) Renken of Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Rick was employed by Caterpillar Inc. for 30 years retiring in 1997.
He was a member of the Glasford Optimist Club, and the Timber Hollis Fire Department.
Funeral services will be at Noon on Saturday, June 19th 2010 at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel in Bartonville. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the chapel. Cremation rites will be accorded.
