

She was born July 30, 1926 in Louisville, Ky to Raymond and Opal (Shields) Edwards. Imogene was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister.
She married Arthur L. Perry on December 7, 1946 in Elizabethtown, Ky. He passed away September 17, 1984. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her two sons: Edward and Robert, one daughter, Patricia Gibson, one sister, Anna Corrine Perry, and two brothers, Kenneth and Theodore Edwards.
She is survived by one daughter, Joyce (Jack) Williams of Bartonville, four sons: David "Buddy" (Donna) Perry of Metamora, Donald (Carol) Perry of Elmwood, Michael (Brenda) Perry of Hanna City, and Richard (Cherie Leezer)Perry of Toulon. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Angie, Tony, Kevin, Jeannie, Christopher, Christy, Jeremy, Michael Jr, Eddie, Krystal, Shawn, Matthew, Amanda. Also her great grandchildren: DJ, Steven, Kaitlyn, Zack, Rachael, Johnthan, Cherokee, Harlow, Haven, Logan, Ron, Antonio, Eva, Jacob, Ella, Marley, Dani, Penelope, Layla, Lilianna, Charleigh, Jackson, Rustyn and a sweet girl on the way. She is also survived by a sister-in-law Joyce Edwards and many nieces and nephews.
Imogene was a homemaker and stay at home mother who raised 8 children and also helped to raise her grandchildren. She was an amazing cook and an avid gardener. Her favorite pastimes were reading, crocheting, jigsaw puzzles, playing cards and Bingo. In her later years, she loved to watch her hummingbirds.
She will be forever cherished and remembered. Her memory will live on in all the many lives she touched..
The family would like to thank Cheryl and the Carle Hospice team for their care during her time with them. Also Jeff Nelson at Central Illinois Agency on Aging, and the caregivers and staff at Spoon River Home Health.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 10, 2026 at 11 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Chaplain Jack Brown will officiate.
Burial will be in Combs Cemetery near Kickapoo and Brimfield.
