Jackie L. Beckman

He was born on September 13, 1937 in Peoria, to Virgil and Doris (Miller) Beckman. He married Jeanne Tarr in 1960. He later married Pansy Guthrie on November 26, 1988 in Bartonville. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Tim L. (Debra) Beckman of Bartonville and Todd S. (Kate) Beckman of Peoria, three step-children, Kelly (John Hecker) Guthrie-Hecker of Mapleton, Brian L. (Sharon) Guthrie of Decatur, and Greg M. (Katie) Guthrie of Kenosha, WI., 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and two brothers, Dave (Sally) Beckman of Dunlap and Dennis (Laura) Beckman of Bartonville.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Shawn Beckman and one brother, Jerry Beckman

Jack served in the U.S. Army and was the owner and operator of Jack Beckman and Sons Builders in Bartonville. He later worked as a Building Inspector with the Village of Bartonville. He was a past member of the Bartonville American Legion Post 979 and attended Faith Missionary Church in Bartonville. Jack loved to golf, fish, hunt, travel and enjoyed woodworking. He was an avid Cardinal Baseball and Chicago Bears Fan.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 28, 2020 at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria. Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
