

He was born November 14, 1930 in Murphysboro, IL to James R. and Vida M. (Nausley) Gualdoni. He married Patricia A. Faulkner on June 26, 1954 in Peoria. He later married Bonita Lou Irwin in June of 1972 in Peoria. She passed away on October 29, 2011 in Peoria. He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving are his children, Cheryl (Randy) Hayward of Pittsboro, NC, David (Janet) Gualdoni of Bartonville, Dan Gualdoni of Richmond, VA, James C. Gualdoni and Jason (Kate) Gualdoni of Bartonville; three grandsons, Jeremy (Elizabeth) Grandon, Kurt Hayward, Bryce Gualdoni; one sister, Doris Gabelhausen of Moline, IL; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
James was a graduate of Spalding Institute. He was a member of Local 183 Carpenter’s Union and worked as a millwright for Allied Mills from 1948 to 1988 and later retired from Affina in 2007. He served in the Naval Reserves for 9 years. James was a member of the Tri-County Tropical Fish Society. He also loved to paint and was an avid movie goer.
He loved his family dearly. He had a unique and special love for his wife and each of his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He will forever be loved and missed.
A funeral Service will be held at 11 A.M., Friday, November 18, 2011 at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday from 5 to 7 P.M., at the chapel. Cremation will be accorded. Burial of ashes will be at a later date.
