He married Josephine "Dolly" Franklin on October 2, 1959 in Peoria.
Jim is survived by his wife of 61 years; two daughters, Shirlee (Chris) Zook of Bartonville and Robin (Mike) Floyd of Peoria; one son, Jim (Tina) Wendland Jr. of Peoria; grandchildren, Sarah Wendland, Ashley (Takashi) Nakayama, Megan (Bryan) Moulton and Cassidy (Blake) Tuley; great-grandchildren, Austin and Ava Tuley, Lynn and Nate Nakayama and Hayes and Poppy Moulton;special nephew, James Franklin; and faithful golden retriever, Buddy.
Jim was a Teamster Truck Driver for 35 years, retiring in 1995. After retirement he was a transport driver for Shriners Hospital for Children. He was a past Master and 48 year member of the Joseph Robbins Lodge #930. He also was a member of the Mohammed Shriners.
Masonic Rites will be on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel with funeral services to follow. Pastor Craig Hislope will officiate.
Visitation will be an hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Rides or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
