Jean Ann Riedlinger, 89, of Farmington, formerly of Bartonville, passed away on Sunday September 17, 2023 at Carle Health - Methodist Hospital in Peoria. She was born on October 15, 1933 in Peoria, a daughter of Fred Ewers and Florence (Branum) Ewers. Jean married Gerald Lee Riedinger on September 22, 1950 in Peoria. He survives.
Also surviving are her five children, Gerald (Marlene) Riedlinger, Jr. of Bartonville, Ruth Ann (Robert) Kester of Rock Island, Cathy Wilcoxson, Debra (Michael) Mullvain, and Janet (Elliott "Scott") Gordon, all of Bartonville; twelve grandchildren, Erik (Jennifer) Phillips, Jennie (Nate) Waldo, Valerie (Tim) Bennett, Nick (Michelle) Kester, Scott Mullvain, Ben (Tiffany) Kester, Ellery (Christian) Merrick, Eric (Teresa) Neal, Jason (Becky) Neal, Raven Farraher Gordon, Elliott (Eliza) Gordon, and John Phillips; 20 great-grandchildren and one great-grandson on the way; brother-in-law, Loran Hart of Russellville, Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Steve Wilcoxson; and sister, Patricia Hart.
Jean worked as the manager of the lunchroom for Bartonville Grade School for 25 years, retiring in 1994.
Jean's graveside service will be at 12:00 pm Friday, September 22, 2023 at the Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
