

Jedonna Marlene “Donna” Harris, 86, of Mapleton, passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Born in Cumberland County IL, on September 23, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Carl Harris and Zella (Cummings) Copenhaver. On February 9. 1959, she married William H. “Bill” Harris. He preceded her in death on October 8, 2005.
Survivors include sons; Carl William “Billy” (Sharon) Harris; Richard Harris, Ryan (Stacey) Harris, and Daughter Randi (Bo) Bohannon; grandchildren, Leann (Mark) Gilles, Denise Matzke, William “Billy” (Samantha) Harris, Kara Harris, Kali Harris, Keedran Parr, David Carroll, Courtney Carroll, RJ, Chase Harris, Shannon (Brandon) Do, 6 great grandchildren Tinley, Mace, Liam, Miller, Leland, Lyle ; Sisters, Trudy Heitzman, Marolyn Kemper, Teresa Kemper, Rosie Bebout, Abby Hupp, Terre (Joe) Davis, Dalette (Robert) Merry, Brothers, Tyrone McCullough, Fred (Carla) McCullough; many nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews who loved their Aunt Donna & she loved each & everyone of them. Aside from her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Harris; sisters, Carolyn Ray, and Clara Mae Wilkins; and her brothers, Ted McCullough, Scott Harris, Russell Harris, Randy Harris, Richard Harris, Robert Harris, and Walter “Jr” Harris.
Donna was employed as a manager at Casey’s in Casey, IL, for over 15 years. Military Wife for 10 years, traveling the world while living in Germany for 5 years then residing in Mapleton, Casey, then back to Mapleton. She was a three-time survivor of cancer, a member and past president of DELFI, a member of Mapleton Church, (which she loved) & a Board Member of the church. Donna was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Watching a Cubs win was definitely a highlight of her day. She would love to see a room full of Pink & Cubbie Blue at her Celebration of Life. Donna loved her family, always eager for get togethers & playing cards with family or friends. She loved to knit & crochet, always making gifts to pass out among her loved ones. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren at their softball & baseball games & all the visits from her many Nieces & Nephews. Loved chatting with all her facebook friends. So proud of her friends & family. God has a new Euchre partner so be ready “watch her she cheats” Remember at Thanksgiving she must have a turkey leg. A new Cadillac to roam the heavens with is in order also. Loved her Caddy”s. Donna lived with her bestie friend/Sister for the past 15 years. They were 2 peas in a pod. Went everywhere together. Their kind of love can never be matched. We are all so Blessed & thankful for Trudy. She was the perfect caretaker & protector.
Visitation will take place on Saturday. March 21, 2026, at Mapleton Church, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Maple Ridge Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Timber Hollis Fire Dept.
