

Jeff Holford, 52, of Creve Couer, Illinois, died Sunday at 10:40 AM at the Unity Point\Methodist Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He died of complications of a hit and run accident he suffered 30 years ago. He was born on December 6, 1962 in Peoria, Illinois. He was the son of Jack and Doris (Bomhold) Holford. He first married Dottie Smith and then married Edith Key on May 4, 2002 in Peoria, Illinois. She survives.
Also surviving is his father, Jack Holford of Peoria Heights, Illinois; two sons, Jeffrey and Christopher Holford; four step children, David Thurman, April Thruman, Evelyn Scott and Wes Jackson; 13 grandchildren, 14 nieces and nephews and 5 great nieces and nephews. He has seven brothers, Jack(Kathy) Holford, Fred (Linda) Holford, Steve (Beverly) Holford, Scott Holford, Randy Holford, William(Jennifer) Holford, John Holford and two sisters, Yvonne (Tommy) Powers and Doris (Michael) Doubet. He was preceded in death by mother, Doris and two sisters, Linda and Gayla Jean, and one brother, Audie, along with many aunts and uncles.
He worked 10 years at Jim’s Restaurant in Bartonville, Illinois last working January 3, 2015. He was a passionate about playing the drums, collecting wolves and dream catchers. He was very proud of his Cherokee Indian Heritage.
