Jerry Lee Bagwell, 76, of Mapleton passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 2:10 am at his residence.

He was born December 1, 1941 in Elk City, OK the son of Oran and Euna Mae (Wallace) Bagwell. He married Barbara Johnson in 1964. He later married Marjorie Courson February 3, 1989.

Jerry is survived by his wife of twenty-nine years; three daughters, Gina (Jason) Ulm of Houston, TX, Lisa Bitner of St. Louis, MO, and Kindra (Brent) Bruninga of Mapleton; eight grandchildren, Kaylee Renner, MacKenzie Renner, Travis May, Tori Wallace, Cody Ulm, Brooke Ulm, Taylor Bruninga, and Braden Bruninga; one brother, James (Vickie) Bagwell of Texas; and one sister, Anita (Glen) Miller of Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Jodi Bagwell; and one brother, John Bagwell.

Jerry was an inspector at Caterpillar until his retirement. He was a member of Bartonville American Legion Post 979 for over fifty years. Jerry was an Air Force Veteran.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11 am on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Hanna City United Methodist Church. Rev. Jeremy Lafary will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to service also at the church. Burial will be in Smithville Cemetery with military honors.

I want to express my deepest sympathy to Marge, her daughters and the rest of the family. I am so sorry for your loss. Jerry was a wonderful man and I know he will be so missed. I am grateful to know he's no longer in pain. Marge, Jerry would want you to keep singing with that beautiful voice of yours.
