Joan Kay Allgaier-Hay

She was born on October 1, 1933 in Peru to the late Emil and Frieda (Korneman) Olson. She married Donald Alleman in 1950 and he passed in 1953. She later married Richard Allgaier in 1955 and he passed away in 1984. She married Edward Hay Sr. in 1986, and he preceded her in death in 2018.

She was also preceded in death by one son, Steven Allgaier.

Joan is survived by two children, Suzanne Buntrock (John) of Woodridge, and Edward H. Hay Jr. (Rebecca) of WI, four grandchildren, Ashley Buntrock of Naperville, and Jonathan Hay (Susan), David Hay, and Jennifer Hay, all of WI, great-grandchildren, Alexander and Ethan, brothers, John Olson (Janice) and Joseph Olson (Linda), sisters-in-law, Evelyn Essert and Debra Rimi, and many nieces and nephews.

Joan owned and operated Hay-Mart Furniture in Chillicothe with her husband Ed for many years. She became a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in 1955. She was also a 50 year member and Past Worthy Matron of Peoria Heights Order of the Eastern Star, and Past President of the VFW Auxiliary #3883.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Joan's Life will be Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 11 a.m. at St Peter Lutheran Church, 13221 W Todd School Rd, Glasford.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peter Lutheran Church.
