John Dean Lovell

He was born on July 26, 1945 in Peoria, IL to Raymond and Esther Lovell (Stomberg). He grew up in Peoria and spent his life dedicated to his family, friends and community.

John was married to Linda Lou Lovell (Reeise) for 57 years. Together they built a loving family and shared many cherished memories.

He is survived by his wife, Linda ; his daughter Lisa & Paul Wade; his granddaughter Danielle & Ryan Nickles, his great-grandchildren, Cameron Wade, Hannah Wade; Sister Pat & Johnny Casey, Brother Allen & Debbie Lovell and many other relatives and friends who will deeply miss him.

He was preceded in death by his Son, John Dean Lovell Jr., Brother Don Lovell, Parents Raymond & Esther Lovell.

John worked as a mechanic at Daves Auto Body retiring in 1987. He was known for his hard work and dedication. He was also a well-known baker in the Peoria area.

In his free time, he enjoyed horse riding, and spending time with his family. Those who knew him will remember his kindness and love.

His family will forever cherish the memories they had with him. His legacy of love, strength, and devotion will continue through the many lives he touched.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 6, 2026 at 11 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.

He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
