Joy Lynn Lister

She was born on November 19, 1946 in Peoria to Dale and Helen Louise (Miller) Macumber.

She married Carl Lister on April 9, 1998 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on October 27, 2018 in Peoria.

Joy leaves behind a daughter, Jennifer (Mark) Davis of Orlando, FL; a son, John (Laura) Goodrich of Mapleton; three step-children, Gwen (Randy) Jester of Canton, Carl "Steve" (Tina) Lister of Pekin, and Lisa Kenser of Canton; three grandchildren, Gabrielle Goodrich, Connor Davis, and Lydia Goodrich; and one brother, Dale (Betty) Macumber of Florida.

After many years of working at Sears & Robuck, Joy embarked on a new career. She began studying at Methodist Medical Center School of Nursing, graduating in 1997 as a Registered Nurse. She worked at Apostolic Christian Skylines until retiring in 2013.

Shortly after retiring she and her husband Carl moved to Marianna, FL where they lived for five years. After Carl's passing, Joy returned to live in Bartonville.

She was a member of Mt. Hawley Community Church. She loved gardening, spending time with family and friends, and sewing, especially with her embroidery sewing machine.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Springdale Cemetery, 3014 N Prospect Rd, Peoria, IL 61603.
