Judy married the love of her life, George Munger, on April 1, 1967, in Moline. He survives. Together they built a life full of love, memories, and adventures. To George, she was his sweetheart, and their bond was cherished by all who knew them.
Judy is survived by her daughters: Stacy (Jeff) Redmon, Shelby (Troy) Naylor, and Marcie (Jimmy Harvey) Morgan. She was a proud grandmother to Stephanie (Paul) MacMahon, Sydney (Shannon Arndt) Courdt, Sierra (Ben) Elson, Colton (Skyler) Gerber, Sheyanne (Chase) Scott, Keaton Gerber, Riley Morgan, Kenna (Eric Bratton) Gerber, and Cade (Cynthia Beyer) Gerber.
Her greatest joy came from her great-grandchildren: Siddaleigh, Vivienne, Weston, Kai, Abby, Isobel, Charlotte, Stetson, Amelia, and two more little ones on the way. Judy also opened her heart to the 15 foreign exchange students who Shelby housed over the years.
Judy was a true good ole lady with a heart full of kindness and creativity. She loved to travel and enjoyed her time living in Panama City Beach, Florida, Foley, Alabama, and having a home in Nashwauk, Minnesota. She loved fishing, scrapbooking, painting, and spent years creating special Halloween costumes for her family. She was also known for making the best pancakes — a simple tradition that became a treasured memory.
Judy’s warmth, generosity, and love for her family will be carried on through the many lives she touched.
A Celebration of Judy's Life will be held on Thursday, July 2 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the American Legion in Bartonville. Family and friends are encouraged to wear Judy’s favorite color, purple, in her honor. Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Tributes and condolences may be made through the funeral home website at Davison-Fulton-BartonvilleChapel.com
