

Judy was born on January 31, 1945, in Hanna City, to her parents, Albert L. Redenius and Hazel Redenius (nee Crank). Judy married Otto Samuel “Sam” Buhs III on August 26, 1966, in Hanna City, IL. He preceded her in death on November 27, 2022. Also preceding her in death are her sisters, Viola M. Stear, Mary G. Fitzgerald and Wilma J. Cruse, as well as her brothers, Edward Redenius and Roger L. Redenius.
Left to cherish Judy’s memory is her loving family, daughter, Shelley Probyn (Johnnie Fleming), son, Otto Samuel (Debra) Buhs IV; grandchildren, Matthew Hoerr, Mollie Hoerr, and Joshua (Desiree) Buhs, as well as five great-grandchildren, and her sister, Vernece H. Homan.
Judy and her husband, Sam, operated Buhs Truck & Trailer for over 30 years. She loved camping and fishing, and had many fond memories traveling around the United States with Sam. She was also known for her wonderful culinary skills, from cooking to baking, and also relished canning and sharing her famous jelly with her loved ones. Above all, she loved her family.
Cremation has been accorded. Graveside services will be at Cottonwood Cemetery in Edwards on Saturday September 20, 2025 at 10 am. Memorials in honor of Judy may be made to the Brimfield Community Fire Protection District, B.Y.E. Ambulance Service or Farmington Village Nursing and Rehab.
