June E. Lindsey

June E. Lindsey, 91, of Bartonville, Illinois died Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 9:30 PM at the Farmington Country Manor in Farmington, Illinois. She was born on June 1, 1920 in Peoria, Illinois. She was the daughter of John and Lucille (Weber) Burdess. She married Arthur Lindsey Sr. on July 13, 1940 in Keokuk, Iowa, he preceded her in death on June 26, 2006 in Peoria, Illinois. She was also preceded in death by one brother Larry Burdess, and two sisters Virginia and Irene Burdess.

She is survived by two sons, Dennis (Jane) Lindsey of Mapleton, Illinois and Arthur (Connie) Lindsey Jr. of Bartonville. Six Grandchildren survive, Lisa Lindsey, Arthur Lindsey III, Lori (Scott Jr.) Gossett, Dennis Lindsey Jr., Tom Lindsey and Tami (Jody) Carroll. There are 10 great grandchildren surviving. She has also five sisters, Leona Walker, Betty Wolschlag, Judith Gaa and Darlene Smith all of Bartonville, Patricia (Gene) Wieland of Peoria, and one brother, John (Nancy) Burdess of Bartonville.

June was a member of the Bethel Lutheran Church of Bartonville.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at the Davison Fulton Bartonville Chapel. The Rev. Dr. Philip Lund will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Bartonville. Memorials may be made to the Bethel Lutheran Church.
