Justin, you will be deeply missed. I'm glad to say that you were my Marine. When I needed a good laugh, I could always count on you. You were a good worker and Marine. I know you're smiling down from Heaven and watching us all. I know as a Marine, Junior Marines are suppose to learn from Senior Enlisted Marines but, I want you to know that I learned a lot from you my friend. RIP buddy.

My thoughts and prayers are with Justin's family and friends during this difficult time. I had the pleasure of getting to know Dilly while he was serving in the Marine Corps. He always knew how to make me laugh and put a smile on my face! Semper Fi my friend and I know you are now guarding the gates and watching over all of us! My deepest sympathies to his family and his Marine Corps family.

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Justin Dillingham our “Brother-in-Arms”. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Justin. And to Justin it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the devoted and selfless service he rendered to his country during Operation Enduring Freedom while serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. Justin, you served with honor and distinction; we bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at Ease. Rest in Peace. Semper Fi!

On behalf of the 1,261 military veteran Legionnaires of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion and the 233 veterans of VFW Post 2238 in Shreveport, Louisiana, we extend our sympathies and our condolences to Justins's family and loved ones.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the Dillingham family. I didn't know Justin, only his dad Dave through work, but I'm sure he was a great guy to know.
