Kristina J. Krus, 52, of Peoria, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Carle Health Methodist Hospital. Born in Peoria, on April 28, 1974, she was the daughter of Duane and Carol (Cochran) Finley.
Survivors include three children, Michael (Shaina) Ward, Emma (Tate) Smith, and Elizabeth Krus; four grandchildren, Finley, Eloise, Landon, and Novaleigh; and a sister, Karrie (Aaron) Gullery. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Kim Finley.
Kristina worked in medical billing and coding for Carle Health for many years until her MS progressed. While at home she enjoyed keeping busy with DIY projects, responding to friends and family in movie quotes, and spending time with her grandchildren. Her sense of humor will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will take place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Second Baptist Church, at 12:00 Noon. Interment will be private. Condolences and memories may be shared through Davison-Fulton-BartonvilleChapel.com
