Lloyd Edward Reece Jr.

He was born on January 6, 1956, in Jacksonville, Illinois, by the late Vivian “Emmagene” and Lloyd Reece Sr. He was the second born of his siblings and the only son. He married Cynthia C. Reece, née Con-ui, on September 1, 2003 in Ormoc, Philippines.

A 1974 graduate of Waverly High School, Lloyd began working at Caterpillar that same year as a machinist. Over the next 53 years, he dedicated himself wholeheartedly to the company. Known for his strong work ethic and unwavering determination, Lloyd chose not to retire so he could continue providing for his family and ensure his children had the opportunity to complete their education.

He leaves behind his present wife Cynthia C. Reece of Peoria, IL. His children to whom he loved dearly; daughter and son-in law Aimee N. Waller and Jeremy S. Waller and two granddaughters, Anna, 16, and Riley, 13, of Peoria, IL; son and daughter-in-law, Cooper A. Reece and Monica M. Reece, née Layer, and granddaughter, Kadence, 16, and grandson, Phoenix, 15, of Farmington, IL; stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Cheska C. Capahi, née Con-ui, and Miguel V. Capahi of Ormoc, Philippines; daughter, Kirsten A.M. Reece of Peoria, IL; son, Nicko V. Reece of Peoria, IL; daughter, Lillian G. Reece of Peoria, IL; Sister Linda K. Hunsucker of Kannapolis, NC and her four children, Robin, Roxanne, Ray, and Richard; and sister, Cindy M. McLain of Creve Coeur, IL and her two children Michael and Jennifer."

He was preceded in death by his mother, Emmagene; father, Lloyd Sr.; stepfather Mitchell C. Agers; and sister, Phyllis Fourdyce.

A visitation service will be held Monday August 4, 2025, at Davison-Fulton/Bartonville Chapel in Bartonville, Illinois from 1:00-3:00pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at Club Phoenix II in Bartonville, Illinois at 5:00pm.
