Lucy J Nation

  She was born September 9, 1927 in Bartonville to William and Mamie (McCawley) Lippman.  She married Melvin Nation on June 29, 1946 in Peoria.  He passed away April 24, 2010 in Peoria.

  She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Patrick Nation and one sister, Alice Madlinger.

  Surviving are her children, Michael (Judie) Nation of Peoria, Tim (Lauri) Nation of Pekin, Scott Nation of Peoria, Susan (Bob) Hartman of Glasford; daughter-in-law, Tammra Nation of Peoria; one sister Virginia “Gini” Stever of Peoria; 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

  Lucy worked in sales at Bergner’s for many years.  She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.  She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.  She touched many lives and will be dearly missed.

  Funeral services for Lucy will be 10 a.m., Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel.  Rev. Linda Richard will officiate.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday at the chapel and one hour prior to services on Thursday.  Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery.

  Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
