She was born July 12, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri to Harold and Marjorie (Bennet) Glackin. She married David B. Kirk Feb. 21, 1965 in Peoria. He survives along with one daughter, Catherine Kirk of Glasford, one son, Gary Kirk of Washington, IL, and two grandchildren: Sara and Gus.
She will be deeply missed by her beloved family and all who knew her.
Marilyn worked at the Peoria JC Penny for 24 years retiring July 31, 2001.
Funeral services will be Tuesday Dec. 13, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Pastor Larry Pitcher will officiate. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Entombment will be in American Mausoleum at a later date.
Memorials may be made to the Timber-Hollis Fire Protection Service.
