She was born October 5, 1932 in Peoria to Roy and Esther (O’Shaunnessy) Frey. She married Richard Melton on June 4, 1955 in Peoria. He passed away March 13, 2017 in Peoria. She is also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Debora Brown, and one granddaughter, Jennifer Brown.
Survivors include two sons, Daniel (Susan K.) Melton of Bartonville, David (Karen) Melton of Bartonville, one brother, Lee Frey of East Peoria, one grandson, Denny Brown, Jr of the Quad Cities, and four great-grandchildren.
Marilynann worked as a bank teller at the First National Bank in Peoria. She was a member of St Anthony Catholic Church in Bartonville.
Funeral services will be Friday, September 25, 2026 at 11 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
