

Born May 15, 1921 in LeRoy, IL to John and Ellen (Baldock) Starr. She married John “Bill” McClintock in Peoria, IL on Feb. 12, 1947. She was preceded in death by her parents; 4 brothers; 2 sisters and her loving husband Bill.
Surviving are her son, James (Doris) of Pekin; two grandsons, Michael (Becky) of Glasford, Cody (Lisa) of Creve Coeur; three great-grandchildren, Taylor, Sydney and Tanner.
She worked at a local diner in LeRoy, and then assembled parts for the P-47 airplane in Evansville, IN to support the war effort. She was an original “Rosie the Riveter”. After the war she moved to Peoria and joined Hiram Walker & Sons and retired after 31 years.
Member of Living Hope Community Church and enjoyed spiritual enlightenment with her very large extended family.
Member of Glasford Over 50 Club, Hiram Walker Retirees Club, local Peoria County Homemakers Association and several Quilting Clubs.
Her life passion was taking care of her “Little Bit of Heaven” 5 acre homestead, sewing and quilting. Most recently an active member of the Peoria Neighborhood House quilting group and would not miss a Monday or Thursday quilting Bee with her new found friends.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel in Bartonville. Funeral Service will follow at 6 p.m. on Tuesday with Pastor Art Georges officiating. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Oak Grove Cemetery in LeRoy, IL.
Memorials may be made to the Neighborhood House, part of Heart of Illinois United Way.
