She was born on January 10, 1941, in St. Louis, MO to Clyde and Blanch (Tucker) Crow. Growing up, she attended Longfellow Grade School and Southwest High School in St. Louis, MO. She married Jim Keistler on April 26, 1974, in Chicago, IL, and devoted herself fully to raising her family.
Mary cherished her family above all else. She was known to be wonderfully supportive of the ones she loved, present at every school event and milestone. She served as a Girl Scouts Troop Leader and as President of the Music Boosters for Warren High School, now renamed United High School. She was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Galesburg, IL and later attended St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Peoria, IL.
She was deeply artistic – painting, crafting, and passing that creative spirit on to her children – and had a well-known love of finding the perfect purse.
Mary had a lifelong love for dogs, sharing her home and heart with many beloved companions over the years, most recently Coco and Destiny.
Mary is survived by her husband, Jim; her children, Krystal Keistler of Madisonville, KY, Marissa (Patrick Dunbar) Keistler of Pekin IL, Kathleen (Johnathan) Ayler of Bartonville, IL, and Christopher (Laura) Keistler of Kansas City, MO; her grandchildren, CJ Keistler, Aaron Underwood, Jacob Underwood, Jonathan Underwood, Joshua Underwood, Jadon Underwood, Ashton Ayler, Aidan Ayler, Avery Ayler, Acen Ayler, and Harrison Keistler; her great grandchildren, Carter Keistler, Bentleigh Keistler, and Preslie Fisher; and her cousin, Peter Crow of Orlando, FL.
She is preceded by her parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
