Norman Brown

Norman was born on June 16, 1929 in Peoria, IL to Ray and Marie Brown. He married Gwendolyn Jordan on April 14, 1951 and she preceded him in death on May 18, 2005.

Surviving are his children, Norman (Cheryl) Brown, Jr., of Ocklawaha, FL, Timmy (Anna Shields) Brown of Bartonville, IL, Denny (Carolinn Carpentier) Brown of Peoria, IL, Dawn (Carl) Slater of Bartonville, IL, Barbara (Mike Kalb) Bennett of Pekin, IL, Nicola (Mark) Fuesting of Peoria, IL, and Jacqueline Legaspi of Bartonville, IL; 21 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and Darrin VanDyke who was like a member of the family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Helen.

Norman worked for both, Pabst Brewery for 10 years and Keystone Steel & Wire for over 45 years, retiring in 1993. He was a past member of the Eagle’s Club and enjoyed stock cars and playing pool.

Cremation rites will be accorded through the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 4pm at the Eagle’s Club, 1704 S. East Lane in Peoria. Online condolences may be made through www.davison-fulton-bartonvillechapel.com
