Patricia Lynn King

On November 26, 1986, Patricia married the love of her life, Jesse C. King, in Peoria. He survives, cherishing nearly four decades of marriage and memories together.

Patricia is also survived by her children: Toby Cooper of Washington, Illinois; Chris Cooper of El Dorado, Arkansas; and Casey King of Peoria; grandchildren, Samantha Carter of Peoria, Ashley Carter of Peoria, Emily Cooper of Pekin, Kasey Johnson of Denver, Colorado, Christopher Cooper of Columbus, Ohio, and Abigail King of Washington as well as eight great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense and joy; and her beloved dogs Harley and Angel baby who will miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her parents Keith (Pat) and Pauline (Bert).

Patricia loved cooking, gardening, shopping, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren, whom she absolutely loved to spoil. She enjoyed quiet moments doing crossword puzzles and reading the Enquirer, magazines, and her favorite cookbooks.

Patricia worked in real estate with the Joseph Company. She also dedicated more than 20 years to her career as a dental assistant, working with numerous dentists throughout the Peoria area.

A celebration of life will be held on January 3, 2026 at 2 p.m.  at the Independent Steelworkers union hall.

Memorials may be made in her name to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
