Roger M. “Butch” Allen, Jr, age 45, of Glasford, passed away Friday, April 6, 2018 at 4:12 a.m. in Glasford.

He was born March 24, 1973 in Peoria to Roger and Patricia (Harkless) Allen, Sr. He married Peggy Tucker on Aug. 30, 1997 in Glasford. She survives along with two children: Zachary and Katlyn Allen of Glasford, his mother, Patricia Allen of Glasford, two sisters: Katherine (John) Heaton of Bartonville, Dawn Modlin of Glasford, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, and both sets of grandparents.

Butch was a welder by trade and a member of the Shriners and the Lancaster Masonic Lodge. He was a fun-loving guy who was always ready to lend a helping hand to a friend in need.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. with masonic rites at 3:45 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Funeral services will be Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Jack Thompson will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to an education fund set up for Zachary and Katlyn at the Glasford Bank.

You will be forever missed , and you'll never be forgotten. One of my favorite memories is when Kathy, Dawn, Julie, Michelle, and myself dressed him up as a girl jewelry, makeup the whole 9 yards. We we're really young, but we were always together. Love you all.
