Ronald "Ron" E. LaRoe Sr.

Ronald Eugene "Ron" LaRoe, Sr., 83, of Bartonville, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025 at Carle Health - Methodist Hospital in Peoria. He was born on February 16, 1942, a son of LeRoy Withers LaRoe and Nina LaRoe. Ron married Beverly Latham on November 17, 1970 in Urbana. She survives.

He is also survived by his two sons, Wesley R. (Jessica) LaRoe of Lacon and Ronald E. (Michelle) LaRoe, Jr. of Katy, Texas; and five grandchildren.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; and daughter, Nina Marie LaRoe.

Ron served his country in the United States Army for 26 1/2 years, a veteran of the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm, retiring as an E-7 in 1999. He was awarded many medals and commendations, including the Bronze Star.

He was a member of the Limestone American Legion Post #979. Ron was an avid golfer and woodworker.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel.
