He was born September 15, 1955 in Peoria, IL to Donald and Betty J (Geltmaker) Birkett.
Tim is survived by his sisters, Barbara (Gary) Quennon of Mapleton and Tobie (Steve) Mullen of Bartonville and his brother, Tom (Pamela) Birkett of Peoria; his brother-in-law, Bob Hurd of California; his Aunt Jane Henrikson; several nieces, nephews, Great nieces and Great nephews and cousins; and his best four-legged friend Reba.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Rebecca Sue Hurd.
Tim was a 1973 graduate of Limestone Community High School and he enjoyed reading, watching movies and writing. He loved military history, especially World War II.
The family wishes to thank the staff of OSF Hospice, the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home and Washington Christian Village for their kind and loving care of Tim.
Cremation will be accorded by Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. A private family gathering will be held in his honor.
