Walker "Larry" Lawrence Pierce Jr.

Larry was born to Walker and Leona (Stear) Pierce Sr. on August 12, 1937 in Peoria IL. They preceded him in death.

He married the love of his life Lydia Johnson on June 20, 1959 in Peoria IL. She survives.

Larry is survived by his children; Sherry (Daniel) Bennett, Ken (Amber Lawson) Pierce, grandchildren; Tracy Bennett, Tricia Bennett, Robert (Katherine) Pierce, great grandchildren; Jasmine Cotelleso, Joshua Cloyd, Taylor Cotelleso, Charlotte Pierce, and four sisters.

He was preceded in death by one brother.

Larry was known for his antique car collection as well as refinishing antiques, he enjoyed woodworking as well, and his favorite wood was walnut. Most of all Larry was a family man and worked hard at Caterpillar for over 45 years retiring in 2000.

A Funeral Service will be held 11:30am on Tuesday October 16, 2018 at St John’s Lutheran Church with a visitation being held an hour prior.

Burial will follow at St John’s Lutheran Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St John Lutheran Church.
