William "Billy" John Burnside

He was born on September 17, 1936 in Peoria. He married Gloria Greene on July 29, 1987 in Peoria, and she survives.

He is also survived by his children, John Burnside, Tony (Teresa McDonald) Burnside, Jody (Jeremy) Weatherhead, Scott Burnside, Cindy (Chris Kortemeier) Burnside, Lindy (Robo) Alexander, and Susie (Adam Currie) Burnside; step-children, Susan (Ed) Hart, Billy Rakestraw, Margie (Rob) Craig, and Heidi (Jeff) Snyder; several grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and sister, Rosie (Jim) Berry.

He was preceded in death by his former wife, and the mother of his children, Carol Burnside; and brother, John Burnside.

Billy was employed as a bartender for many years, most recently at VFW Post 388. He was formerly employed by Mister Donut. A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a member of VFW Post 388, and American Legion Post 979.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2022 from 3-8PM at American Legion Post 979 in Bartonville. Memorials may be made to TAPS. Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
