William John Marlott

William J. Marlott, Jr., age 89, of Peoria, IL died peacefully on July 1, 2025. He was born July 23, 1935, in Wisconsin Rapids, WI to Louise Mary (McCarthy) and William J. Marlott, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Nancy (Vogel) who was beside him at his passing.

Bill is also survived by his daughter, Diana Frisbie of Woodstock and 2 sons, Mark (Margery Ehrhart) of Brimfield and John (Lynn Tippett) of Elmhurst. Bill was blessed with 10 grandchildren: Jennifer (Marco Jasso), Laura (Steve Prorok), Timothy (Cathy Swanson), Melody (Matthew Abraham), Julia (Drew Furlano), Samantha, Mark, Alex, Isaac, and Jane. He was also blessed to have 10 great-grandchildren. He leaves many other family members and friends who will miss his warmth and his humor.

Bill was a lifelong Peorian and a proud graduate of Manual High School. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, the Cubs Boosters Club, and the Elks Club. Throughout his life Bill enjoyed participating in and watching all sports, especially baseball, basketball, and golf (with several holes-in-one to his credit). He was a basketball coach and a referee, supporting young players and sharing his love of the game. Bill was a “die-hard Cubs fan” and made sure everyone knew it! He also loved music, especially Frank Sinatra.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Richard, Jim and Tom, and by his son-in-law, Kent Frisbie.

A memorial service will be held at 11am on Monday, August 4, 2025 at Christ Lutheran Church in Peoria.
