William R. Moore

William Robert Moore, age 85, of Bartonville, passed away on Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Heddington Oaks in Peoria.

William was born on March 17, 1928 in Peoria to Riley and Frances (Clawson) Moore. He married Alice M. Rosinski on February 24, 1951 in Bartonville.

William is survived by his wife of 63 years, Alice; his son, Michael (Patricia) Moore of Bartonville, IL; his daughter, Pamela (Mark) Bedwell of Elmwood, IL; his grandchildren, Andy Hillis, Christopher Moore and Jamie Moore, Jennifer Givnes, Jarid Bedwell and Jessie Bedwell; 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Beverly (Amos) Turman of Decatur, IL; and one brother, Ronnie (Barbara) Moore of Rock Hills, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and one sister.

William served in the United States Navy on the USS Spokane. He then worked for Caterpillar for 34 years retiring in 1982. After his retirement, William worked for Hertz Rental at the Peoria International Airport until 2009. William enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling to Minnesota. He dearly loved his beautiful bride and his family.

Services will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 11am at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel with the visitation beginning at 9:30am at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will be at Springdale Cemetery in Peoria. Memorials may be made to the American Stroke Association. Online condolences may be made through
