William "Bill" Lawrence Robinson

William Lawrence "Bill" Robinson, of Pekin, Illinois, died at 10:45 a.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at the age of 87. He was born in Oraville, Illinois, on March 2, 1938, to Howard and Una (King) Robinson.

On July 18, 1981 he was married to Betty L. Metroff in Peoria, Illinois. He brought four children to their union. Bill joined the United States Air Force at a young age and when he returned he worked for companies becoming a boiler operator for 37.5 years. Since he retired, he enjoyed working on vehicles and being with family.

Survivors include his wife, Betty L. Robinson of Pekin, Illinois; his sister, Maxine Robinson-Raffety of Hanna City, Illinois; brother, Laymon Robinson of Peoria, Illinois; sister-in-law, Janet Robinson of Morton, Illinois; his children, Sharon (Joseph) Dotta of Plymouth, Indiana, Roger Robinson of Creve Coeur, Illinois, Carl Robinson of Walkerton, Indiana, and Jeff (Sue) Robinson of Plymouth, Indiana; several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Una Robinson; brother, Randell Robinson; and daughter, Janice Robinson.

Bill's visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday July 18, 2025, at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel with service immediately following. Burial will take place in Smithville Cemetery in rural Hanna City.
