William "Bill" Vanderheiden

William A. “Bill” Vanderheiden, 79, of Bartonville, Illinois, went with the angels, Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the Unity Point\Methodist Medical Center in Peoria surrounded by his loving family. He was born on April 2, 1937 in Peoria, Illinois to Albert and Viola (Heitzman) Vanderheiden. He married Lavada “Sue”Fouse on December 23, 1972 in Bartonville. She survives.

Also surviving is his daughter, Tammy Adkins of Metamora; two grandchildren, Destiny and Weslee; three nieces and three nephews and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two aunts and one uncle.

Bill worked 30 years at Caterpillar Inc. retiring in 1991. He was an U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the U.A.W #974. He was a master woodworker, loved old cars and enjoyed going to McDonalds and talking with the guys. He also enjoyed going to garage sales.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Davison Fulton Bartonville Chapel. The Rev. Craig Hislope will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30 until services on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
