Wilma L. Florey

Bartonville – Wilma L. Florey, 88, of Treasure Ave, Bartonville, passed away at 1:35 PM on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on July 18, 1926 in Monticello, IL to William and Lura (Payne) Frye. She married Harold E. Florey on Sept. 28, 1946 in Monticello. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1990 in Peoria. She was also preceded by her parents, one sister, Helen, and one brother, Glenn.

Wilma is survived by one son Ronald (Pat) Florey of Bartonville; two granddaughters Angela (Paul) Stevenson of Mapleton and Christine (Homer) Montemayer of Peoria; one great granddaughter Destiny Deal of Mapleton; two great grandsons Nick Stevenson of Mapleton and Greyson Montemayer of Peoria; and two step grandchildren Aaron and Lauren Stevenson of Mapleton.

She was of the Methodist Faith. She had worked as a manager in the Group Administration Department of Illinois Mutual Insurance Company in Peoria for 18 years. She had been a member of the Elks Auxiliary in Peoria and an avid golfer.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday July 10, 2015 at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Rev. Steven Barch will officiate. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
