

He was born August 10, 1933 in Bolivar, MO to Wright S. Miller Jr. and Anna M. (Armstrong) Miller who preceded him in death. He married Carolyn S. Logan on July 29th 1956 at the Bartonville United Methodist Church. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Wright “Jim” (Tammy) Miller IV and John Arthur Logan Miller both of Bartonville and several grandchildren, Louis R. Miller, Vincent L. Miller, Leonardo J. Miller, Brooke K. Vielhak and Faith B. Miller all of Bartonville.
He worked at Caterpillar, Johnsons Hydraulic, and retired from the U.S. Department of Agriculture Research Lab in 1983. He served in the Army from 1953 to 1955 in the 554th Engineers Bn. He was also a member of the Masonic Temple Lodge A.F. & A.M. in Peoria.
Wright was better known as “Red” in Illinois and “W.S.” in Missouri. He enjoyed stock car racing in his younger years and later enjoyed watching and going to tractor pulls and steam engine shows. He will truly be missed by friends and family.
Davison-Fulton is in charge of arrangements. Graveside services will be in St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery at a later date.
